My wife and I moved to Phoenix 2 years ago, and in that time we have been diligently looking for a good Mexican joint. We tried so many places, but none really did it for us. But at last we don't need to keep looking. Tacos Calafia is EXACTLY what we've been searching for all of this time. They really nail that authentic taste and feel that the other places never got right. I'm going to be telling all of my friends to go here if they haven't been already.

I went with the chicken vampiro taco, and it did not disappoint—crispy, flavorful, and seriously satisfying. I’ll definitely be back to try more off the menu.
I love how clean the restaurant is and how friendly the staff is! The tacos de carne asada are always so fresh and consistent! Next time you want tacos make sure to come to Tacos Calafia!! Atmosphere reminds me of a small taco stand, makes it feel a whole more personable. Food was so good I didn’t even have time to take a picture of the tacos!
I came here for the burrito deal—best decision ever! The meat was tender and fresh, and everything tasted super authentic. I also loved the salsa bar, though I do wish they had extras like carrots and grilled onions since most Mexican spots offer those as sides. Still, I’ll definitely be back for that burrito special!
